|
| How
long did your screenplay
take to write, from conception
to final completion? |
| Nine
months to complete the first
draft. I'm still immersed
in the rewriting process. |
|
| Where
did your inspiration come
from? |
| The
current state of affairs,
articles about the impending
AIDS crisis, and my desire
to tackle the thriller genre.
I started to ponder the
question: what would happen
if an AIDS cure actually
existed and only one man
had it flowing through his
veins? |
|
| Are
Horror or Sci-Fi your main
creative interests? |
| Sci-Fi. |
|
| Can
you describe a typical day
in the process of creating
your film or screenplay? |
| My
morning usually involves
staring at my computer screen,
pacing the room, and reflecting
on my story. After a good
lunch, I hop in front of
the computer and the words
finally hit the page. |
|
| Who
do you consider to be the
greatest horror writer? |
| Ray
Bradbury. |
|
| Can
you recall the first horror
film that left a lasting
impression on you? |
| Jaws. |
|
| Who
do you consider to be the
greatest 'Masters of Horror'? |
| Alfred
Hitchcock. |
|
| Do
you currently have any attachments
and/or a cast wishlist for
your screenplay? |
| I'd
have to include John Cusack,
Julianne Moore, and Russell
Crowe on my cast wishlist. |
|
| Who
do you see directing your
screenplay? |
| Alfonso
Cuaron. His direction of
"Children of Men"
was fresh, invigorating,
and truly thrilling. |
|
| How
many edits has your screenplay
gone through? |
| Too
many to count. |
|
Was
this your first screenplay?
If so, are you inspired
to write another? |
| This
is my second feature-length
screenplay. |
