|
| How
long did your project take
to create, from conception
to final completion? |
| The
idea's been with me for
a few years, but from the
time I decided to make it
into a short until completeion,
several months had passed. |
|
| Where
did your inspiration come
from? |
| I
didn't know at the time.
It wasn't until a few months
after I finished the movie
that I realized I completely
ripped-off a scene from
"Mulholland Drive." |
|
| Is
Horror your primary creative
interest? |
| Movies
in general, but Horror and
Sci-Fi are my favorite genres. |
|
| Can
you describe a typical day
in the process of creating
your film? |
| I
play video games on my computer
while desperately trying
to motivate myself to write
while also chiding myself
for procrastinating. |
|
| Who
do you consider to be the
greatest horror writer? |
| The
obvious answer, Stephen
King. He has an amazing
gift of both being able
to create great memorable
characters and then creating
horrible, nasty things to
do them. |
|
|
| Can
you recall the first horror
film that left a lasting
impression on you? |
| Jaws.
I became obsessed with learning
everything possible about
sharks for the next few
years. It's still my favorite
movie and shark's backbones
are actually not bones at
all, but cartilage. |
|
| Who
do you consider to be the
greatest 'Masters of Horror'? |
| I'm
not sure if he counts as
horror, but no one has mastered
one particular genre as
well as Alfred Hitchcock.
He was often very scary
so I guess that qualifies
him as a "Master of
Horror." |
|
| How
many people comprised your
cast and crew? |
| Seven
in the cast, and a lot of
crewmembers. |
|
| How
did you find your cast? |
| Audition
postings on the internet,
mostly. But I was friends
with my lead actress from
before. |
|
| What
was the most memorable moment
of the shoot? |
| Pretty
much the entire cast and
crew got parking tickets
and I offered to pay for
everyone's tickets, but
no one took me up on that.
I was moved by that. |
|
| Did
you shoot on film or with
digital cameras? |
| Digital. |
|
| If
you could choose any famous
actors to work with on future
projects, who would they
be? |
| Monica
Bellucci and Salma Hayek.
They're talented, classy,
beautiful, and have large
breasts. |
