|
| How
long did your project take
to create, from conception
to final completion? |
| Two
and a half years. |
|
| Where
did your inspiration come
from? |
| A
passion for space exploration
- when NASA's 'New Vision
For Space Exploration' was
announced, we felt we needed
to help the public visualize
what the future might hold
for us in space. |
|
| Is
Horror or Sci-Fi your primary
creative interest? |
| Science
Fiction. |
|
| Can
you describe a typical day
in the creative process? |
| Each
stage of the process is
different and has different
needs, but because I have
a "day job" (I
am a visual effects technical
director on feature films)
my typical day on my project
lasts only about 1.5 hours,
from 6:30-8am. In order
to get things done, I have
to be extremely organized
so that I don't waste any
of that time. |
|
| How
did you find your cast? |
| Backstage
West, craigslist. |
|
| What
is you most memorable moment
while making your film? |
| Trying
to nail down the shot of
the movie, a massive camera
tracking and logistically
difficult shot, as we were
running out of time on the
stage rental. |
|
| Did
you shoot on film or with
digital cameras? |
| We
shot with a Dalsa Origin,
the first 4K resolution
digital cinema camera that
records at a resolution
of 4096x2048 (Imax-equivalent
resolution). |
|
| How
many members of your cast
and crew? |
| Eighteen
castmembers, fifty-five
crew members. |
