WORLD
PREMIERE!
Marion and her ten year old son,
Stuart, look after an old National
Trust property while it's closed
over winter. Stuart draws his
nightmares on scraps of paper
that he then collects in jars;
a jar is broken and the nightmare
escapes within the large old house,
where it stalks mother and son.

Dark Romance Review |
|
If
this is the face of Scottish
Gothic, then please Sir,
I want some more!
Contorted Hazel is gothic
and shivery to the core.
In fact, the landmark house
that the protagonists Marion
and Stuart are hired to
inhabit for the winter is
so gothic, it would make
the Addams Family envious.
An imaginative premise,
ripe with terrors to come,
and perfectly grim, dark
cinematography set the stage
for the appearance of some
nicely done spooky FX.. |
