Glacial Beauty

Glacial beauty
My masked Madonna
Untouchable; a demigod
If emotions are locked away
Pain is unknowable
Her frozen fingers remain clenched
If you give of yourself you can be betrayed
But darling-
I want to touch you
Let your mask slip a little further
I can almost see you
I want nothing more than to see you
She fades in and out of reality
And humanity
Within her demons tear at her
Ravenous, they crave her soul
Dear one, you can let them out now
She looks up, and I can see her eyes
Her icy fingers brush my face
And she's gone forever.
