Ich is an Electronic
Industrial band
from Germany with
influences born
of the seminal German
bands Kraftwerk
and Einsturzende
Neubauten. The members
of Das Ich are Stefan
Ackermann and Bruno
Kramm, who formed
the band in 1989.
The name, Das Ich,
means "the
id," referring
to the part of Freud's
division of the
psyche responsible
for the primitive
emotions of lust,
hunger and rage
centered around
the base instincts
to survive and procreate.
