"Kissed" A love by any other name...

Can a story about necrophelia touch the heart even while it troubles the spirit? "Kissed," the controvercial yet highly praised Canadian film proves it can be done, at least when the subject of the story is an attractive young girl who can express infinite sensitivity and respect for the dead.

Molly Parker has staked a reputation.as one of the most fearless and dark actresses in modern cinema.

In her breakthrough role, she portrayed Sandra Larson, a young woman who learns as a child that she holds a special reverence for the mortal coils of the deceased. She creates her own rituals to say farewell to the remains of animals and eventually to the bodies of dead human beings.

She senses the entire course of a lifetime in the mortal artifact of a corpse left behind. As an embalmer in a small mortuary, she satisfies her her curiosity and her strange obsession, to the dismay of a man who craves her love.

"Kissed" is a film about love and death like no other.
