a time of
religious
fervor when
Mormonism
sprang from
the Christian
world, the
Bahai Faith
came out of
Islam and
a mystic belief
called Theosophy
was born of
roots in Buddhism
with a belief
in the evolution
of souls.
The Symbolist
painter Delville
was a passionate
believer in
Theosophy
and he incorporated
his vision
of Hell as
a place where
'dead' souls
languish in
this fiery
ocean.
