Evil and Innocence in Point
Pleasant

Harnois as Christina,
the daughter of
Satan
The
short-lived
television series
Point Pleasant
was created
by some of the
producers of
Buffy the Vampire
Slayer, and
the story bears
many of that
series' basic
elements. A
young, beautiful
girl arrives
in a small town
and confronts
the hidden evil
awaiting there.
In this story
however, the
girl Christina
must also confront
the evil within
herself, as
she is the only
begotten daughter
of Satan, chosen
to be the Antichrist.
Point Pleasant
retains the
supernatural
and sexual elements
of Buffy, while
replacing the
bantering humor
of that series
with the often
sordid drama
created by the
dark emotions
unleashed by
her presence.
A dvd collection
of the series
includes five
episodes never
before seen
during its televised
run, plus a
'making-of'
documentary.
