Tollywood Triller: 'Golimaar'

This Indian rendition of the Michael Jackson "Thriller" video will probably be most westerners' exposure to the film culture known as Tollywood, a separate entity from Bollywood Tollywood films feature dialogue in Telugu, as opposed to the Hindi spoken in Bollywood films.

The 1985 video features the Indian pop-star Chiru. The song title 'goli maar'is from a Telugu expression meaning 'shoot the gun.' Hollywood horror icons have inspired Indian cinema before, but never with as much insane fun as this.
