In 1973, a low-budget film with a stellar british cast and a dark sense of dread shocked movie-goers and became a unique cult classic. The Wicker Man featured horror icons Christopher Lee and Ingrid Pitt and starred the always excellent Edward Woodward, seen most recently as Mr. Jones in La Femme Nikita and known from The Equalizer, a TV show from the late 80's. 21st century viewers may see echoes of the California Burning Man ritual in this story of pagan fire ceremonies.
