Paintings by Louis Welden Hawkins - (1849-1910)
1) The Haloes 2) Girls Singing Music by Gabriel Fabre 3) The Priestess 4) Idyll

Louis Welden Hawkins was born in Germany to English parents in 1849. As a young man he moved to Paris. His art evolved away from traditional English landscapes to the French Symbolism he is known for, often depicting women in a gently erotic or mystical way in a style reminiscent of the Pre-Raphaelites.
