Lotus
the Angel Warrior

killer, originally
conceived by McFarlane
Toys as part of
a series of figures
based on their created
mythology The Samurai
Wars, which are
in turn a part of
Spawn: The Dark
Ages.
The Hellspawn are
Lieutenants in the
Army of Hell. Most
were once human,
but have made a
pact with the Master
of Hell to return
to Earth for a limited
time.
The Hellspawn have
been condemned for
their misdeeds of
assassination and
murder on earth,
though some repent
and struggle to
achieve some sort
of redemption. Their
only hope is a fate
trapped between
Heaven and Hell..

Throughout
history, there have
always been Hellspawns,
beginning with the
first murderer,
Cain. From Feudal
Japan came the Hellspawn
who was known on
Earth as Takeda,
an evil Samurai.
Lotus is an angel
whose purpose on
Earth is to destroy
evil, particularly
in the form of the
malevolent Hellspawn.
In her first incarnation
she appeared human,
armed wth twin samurai
swords.
'Regenerated' for
a second series
of figures, Lotus
reappeared as a
Kali-like goddess
with six arms, now
wielding an additional
third sword and
a particularly vicious
throwing star.
