When darkness falls and the grey stones of shadowed crypts turn cold in the hallowed expanse of Hollywood Forever Cemetery, the faithful arrive by the hundreds to sit among the graves, preparing for the summer ritual that has gathered them together.
They gather to watch as classic Hollywood films are projected onto an enormous, theater-screen sized wall, following a pre-show of music by local DJs.

It's entirely appropriate, if perhaps a bit macabre, since some of the very stars whose performances flash, ghost-like above the legendary graveyard, are buried here.
Cinespia offers the weekly event, for which a donation of $10 is requested. Films are shown on Saturdays, all summer long. Gates open at 7:30, screening is at 9:00, but arrive early, as late-comers are turned away. More info is at cemeteryscreenings.com
