Ajax carries the Trojan prophetess Cassandra from the Temple of Athena. Cassandra was given to King Agamemnon of Greece as part of the spoils of the Trojan War. She bore him twins, but all were slain by the King's wife and her lover Aegisthus, the King's cousin
