and is offered to our kindred spirits
in every part of the world.
Dark
Romance is a place
to gather, discover and share, a place
to appreciate art and action, a place
where Camelot and Sin City are at
opposite ends of the same magical
road.
There
are many ways in which artistic expression
and social interaction can find their
way into our shadow realm. Some manifestations of Dark Romance
are conceived and born as gothic,
and some are embraced and revered
for qualities that speak to the gothic
heart.
The depth and qualities of darkness
change from the indigo of twilight
to the black of the witching
hour, to the darkest hour before dawn. The elegant, the decadent, the
phantasmagorical and the surreal each have
their place.
Illuminated here are worlds real and imagined, from antiquity through
times Medieval to the Victorian era
and into the distant future. Mystery, suspense, heartbreaking beauty
and fearsome terrors also inhabit
these pages.
