"My Favorite Things"

When Halloween approaches, we all remember and anticipating some of our favorite All Hallows Eve pleasures.

Dark Romance wondered what would make a perfect Halloween for others in the horror community, so we asked some friends to share their thoughts about the things that make the holiday exciting for them:

What would be your perfect dream costume, or what was your favorite costume ever? What is the best Trick or Treat candy? How about the ultimate Halloween Night movie double-feature? Is there specific music that would be on a soundtrack to accompany your Halloween? And what's the perfect way to spend a Halloween Night?

Spooky Dan Walker
Spooky Dan Walker
Spooky Dan has been an iconic presence in the horror scene for years as a journalist and interviewer for Bloody-Disgusting and DreadCentral in addition to his work doing post-production for many well known films.
Spooky is currently completing a film about Repo: The Genetic Opera, and its birth as a cult phenomena. Find Spooky Dan's blogs and videos of his red carpet interviews at spookydan.com.

My Perfect Costume: I can pull of a witch pretty easily, so that one is a given every year for a last minute costume.

But I would have to say that the best costume I ever pulled off was The Purple Pieman. He was the evil villain from Strawberry Shortcake. The guys who saw me never looked twice, but the girls who recognized who I was all wanted pictures with me…isn’t that always the goal?

The Best Halloween Treat: Cotton Candy

The Signature Song for My Halloween: "I know its cliché but it just doesn’t feel like Halloween without Bela Lugosi’s Dead playing at least a few times."

Best Halloween Double Feature: "Rocky Horror" and "Repo! The Genetic Opera."
In second would be "Fright Night" and "Halloween." But I have to tell everyone that Trick r’ Treat is to Halloween what "A Christmas Story" is to Xmas. And you can find it on DVD now!"

Where I'll be: "Probably hosting a Repo screening somewhere…or in Vegas…or hosting a party of my own here in Hollywood."
