Favorite Things: Halloween
Perfections |

| D.W.
Frydendall |
| From
the age of five, D.W.
Frydendall was obsessed
with two things: comics,
and anything morbid
and macabre. His lifelong
devotion to art has
earned him many an
impressive gig in
mainstream entertainment,
with the likes of
Disney, Hanna Barbara
and Universal, but
his style is always
unique and raw, with
the spirit of an iconoclast. |
|
|
Frydendall
is currently working on
several comic projects and
other top-secret jobs that
will be unveiled soon.
|
| Frydendall's
Perfect Halloween: "I
think the perfect Halloween
would be with my girlfriend
and my closest friends at
a haunted location like
the Waverly Hills Sanitarium
doing an investigation and
getting the crap scared
out of us. That would be
the best!" |
| |
|
His
Best Costume Ever: "My
best Halloween costume would
have to have been my rococo
era vampire costume in 1994.
I spent a small fortune
to get contacts made because
at that time they weren't
as readily available as
they are now. I won a couple
of contests and got a whole
bunch of numbers. I'd say
second is my current Wyatt
Earp costume that's totally
authentic."
The Ultimate Dream Costume:
"would be a complete
werewolf costume like the
one Rob Bottin made for
'The Howling.' With the
wolf like legs and long
arms and drool. I'd hide
in the bushes and give people
heart attacks!" |
| |
|
| The
Perfect Treat: "Popcorn
balls with dope in the middle!
No really, I'd say when
you'd get those big ol'
Milky Way or Snickers bars
from the rich families." |
| |
|
| The
Best Halloween Music:
"Thats a toss-up. Either
it would be 'Within The
Realm of the Dying Sun'
by Dead Can Dance or the
mix tape Norman "Baron
Shivers" Cabrerra of
The Ghastly Ones made a
couple of years back. I
listen to it during the
rest of the year when I
want to feel "creepy." |
| |
|
The
Perfect Halloween Double
Feature: "Either: "Halloween"
and "The Thing,"
"The Shining"
and "The Changeling"
or "Halloween"
and "The Texas Chainsaw
Massacre" |
| |
|
Where
he'll be on Halloween 2009:
"Probably haunting
around some parties with
a bottle of rotgut."
