When Halloween approaches, we all remember and anticipate our favorite All Hallows' Eve pleasures.

Dark Romance wondered what would make a perfect Halloween for others in the horror community, so we asked some friends to share their thoughts about the things that make the holiday exciting for them:

What would be your perfect dream costume, or what was your favorite costume ever? What is the best Trick or Treat candy? How about the ultimate Halloween Night movie double-feature? Is there specific music that would be on a soundtrack to accompany your Halloween? And what's the perfect way to spend a Halloween Night?

My Favorite Things: Halloween Perfections
Doug Jones
Doug Jones
Doug Jones uses his gifts an an actor to breathe life into dark fantasy characters in the tradition of Boris Karloff and Lon Chaney. Best known for his characters in Guillermo Del Toro films, such as Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy, Doug has also appeared in mainstream films from Men in Black II to Fantastic Four.
Now on DVD is NBC's FEAR ITSELF series, with Doug as the title character in "Skin & Bones," directed by Larry Fessenden. ALSO - January 22nd in theaters, see Doug as the 'Ice Cream Man' in LEGION, starring Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid and Tyrese Gibson. .

Doug's Favorite Costumes Ever: "I was proud of my Flagpole costume one year: So simple with me in a silver unitard, silver face & hair paint, a foil eagle on my head and an American flag sewn to my right side. Being tall and skinny helped sell that one!

I was also happy with a couples look that Mrs. Laurie and I did one year: John and Lorena Bobbit. She wore a night gown, carrying a knife around, and I had on a pair of boxer shorts with a huge blood stain on the crotch."

The Best Treat: "Kit Kat bars (in any size) are worth knocking on a few doors for!"

The Soundtrack to Doug's Halloween: "Probably the totally inappropriate "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. Yep, I really am that sappy about how good the monster industry has been to me."

The Perfect Halloween Double Feature: "Boris Karloff's "Frankenstein" & "The Mummy." Both films haunted my childhood."

Where he'll be on Halloween 2009: "This year's Halloween will see me judging a costume contest at a charity event for the Starlight Foundation in Las Vegas. Can't think of a better way to spend the day."
